here is a large Cassolle from the south west of France. The cassolle are similar to the gresale or tian , but they do not have any handles and are made of a tougher stoneware. they were made to cook the famous Cassoulet , so the stoneware was made to withstand the heat of cooking fire.
This Cassole. seems in good condition but it does have 2 cracks . one is quite small and not very problematic, but the second one is quite large and goes through the pottery.
it is holding fine as is and can still be used as a lovely decorative item, but I cannot promise for a safe shipping process , even with excellent packaging.
It measures 43cm diameter
